Sport has always been a major part of my life. In 2003 I decided to transfer my passion for sport and coaching into Education. Since then it has been my passion to deliver outstanding PE and sporting provision development in primary schools across Leicestershire. I enjoy stimulating other people’s interest in sport and supporting their understanding of wellbeing, health and teamwork. FCS is a growing sports provider that now has a team of qualified coaches dedicated to providing a safe, fun and enjoyable learning environment, which not only encourages sports participation but also enhances healthy living, social inclusion and personal development skills.

Establishing positive relationships with children is always at the forefront of my mind – I believe this lies at the heart of their personal development. I love working with children and seeing how the use of creative, engaging activities can develop a real enthusiasm for something and a desire to strive for their goals! I have a real passion for dance, gymnastics and art, and relish opportunities to share my creative ideas with young people, as well as to encourage children to develop their own creativity and independence. My aim is to ensure the activities I provide are varied, tailored to all abilities, teach and develop new skills, but are also as much fun as possible.

Activities to me is about the children having fun by being creative in a relaxed environment after a long day of learning.
I enjoy watching the children achieve beyond their own expectations and I try to tailor the activities to suit every age from Foundation to year 6, which can be a challenge!
In each session, I include some old favourites and something new, in order to engage and encourage creativity, this approach is usually well received. Whilst the varied age range provides an opportunity for the children to support and inspire each other.

I have been involved in sports since I was a child. Just getting up in the morning knowing I was going to play sports that day gave me a feeling of excitement.
In my life I have been very fortunate to have played a high level of sport, especially Cricket. I have had the opportunity to represent my county and play for England u19s as well as been lucky enough to travel the world just to play sports.
I have always wanted to share my experience with others and help young children get into sport and therefore coaching at primary schools is the perfect way to do this as children learn about different sports. In my view I have a great job in inspiring young children to stay active and encourage children to play sports in school as well as undertake extra-curricular activities in sport.
